Committees

The Chamber has several committees which allow members to use their talents, in areas that interest them, to serve the Chamber.  Participation on a committee is a good way to develop new business relationships.

Responsible for representing the Chamber at Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings and attending luncheons and other chamber events to help promote networking among attendees. Assits with membership retention and recruitment.

Meets: Dates and Times TBD based on committee availability

Plans and organizes the annual fundraising dinner of the Kansas City South Foundation each year.            

Meets: Dates and Times TBD based on committee availability

Works collectively with the Hickman Mills, Center and Grandview School Districts to develop programs to prepare students for a future as leaders of the community.

Meets: 1st Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m.

Coordinates the annual Golf Tournament held each year in July.

Meets: October through July; Last Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m.

Studies and makes position recommendations to the board of directors on local, state and federal legislative issues of interest to businesses and prepares legislative priorities.

Meets: September through May; 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
